On September 15th, 2017 we released an update that allows greater flexibility in re-ordering and vendor assignment. This was a feature our clients have been requesting for a long time and we're excited to announce its anticipated release.
Our Multi-Vendor feature will now give you increased re-ordering flexibility in the following 3 areas:
- Previously vendors were assigned to each product, meaning every option had to be ordered from the same vendor. With the new release, you now have the option to order individual product options (color, style, size, etc) from different vendors. This will increase ordering flexibility when a vendor is out of stock or another vendor offers cheaper prices.
- The new release now allows you to assign a primary vendor as well as secondary vendors to every product. This way, you and your staff know who else to re-order from should an item be out of stock or otherwise unavailable.
- The purchase order and receiving order areas will now support additional logic for ordering from primary and secondary vendors. In other words, you can now re-order low inventory for all items with the assigned primary vendor, as well as adding items assigned to the same Secondary Vendor.
Please note: Vendor part numbers and packing information have also been moved down to the option level.
