There are many approaches you can take in setting up the main page for your online store, and what we often see is the path of least resistance. Our system is very easy to use, and it makes it easy to put some essential elements on your Products page, and many of our clients leave it at that. But there is a lot more you can do. Here are a couple ideas:
- Add a Featured Products module and/or a Featured Categories module and use them to show what's new! Keeping these fresh and differentiating them from what you feature on your Home page will give your visitors variety and offer them more opportunities to impulse buy.
- Put up a monthly coupon code for a little bit off the order. Even $5 off in an unexpected place can make a big difference in how many people choose to shop with you.
- Offer Free Shipping. For selling on the internet in today's market, it can be hard to compete if you don't do this at some level. At the very least, you can set a target amount for orders at which shipping becomes free, e.g. Free Shipping for Orders Over $75.
- Show your visitors they are shopping safely by putting up a seal featuring your processor and the different credit cards. If you don't already have an image like that, use one of the free ones below, or contact your processor for an official one.
