Marketing Training Checklist
- Tips for success:
- Have you gotten a “Come Back” coupon from a store and use it to purchase something? (Ask Chelsie if not) Does Panda Express’s “Free Entree” bounce-back coupon ever get you?
- Relate different areas to your own experience.
- Use the Marketing page (https://www.rainpos.com/marketing.htm) to your advantage if you’re unsure how something is used.
Before You Call
- Set up Twilio number.
- Create numbers in their area code
- Insert in Module Settings
- Request the SSL in Admin Settings
- Setup Reviews area in Settings > Marketing > Request Reviews
Marketing Emails
- TOP SELLERS EMAIL
- “Everyone wants to know what's popular! So we'll be sure to email your customers your top selling products each month so they won't miss out on what's hot!”
- “The email includes a link to a system-generated page that lists all these items.”
- Send copy of the email to them to see
- This is based on the quantity of the unit sold, not on the dollar value of said item.
- Let them know the email is sent the 2nd week of each month
- Show them where to check the box if they want to enable it (recommend them to do so)
- NEW PRODUCTS EMAILS
- “Once a month, we'll automatically send your customers an email with a sample of the new products you added the previous month.”
- “The email includes a link to a system-generated page that lists all these items.”
- Send copy of the email for them to see
- Let them know the email is sent the 1st week of each month
- Show them where to check the box if they want to enable it (recommend them to do so)
- UPCOMING CLASSES EMAIL
- “Your customers will never miss another class opportunity because we'll email them each month to let them know about your upcoming classes, automatically. Fill more classes, collect payment up front, decrease "no shows", and increase upsell opportunities.”

Marketing Email Coupons
- BOUNCE BACK COUPON EMAIL
- “Bounce Back coupons have proven extremely effective for large retailers, and now you have the power to utilize these incredibly effective coupons for your store. Get customers coming back sooner and more frequently, increasing loyalty, and increase your sales!”
- “They are issued after a customer has made a purchase at your store, they are valid for a configurable limited time, (like 1 - 2 weeks).”

- COME BACK COUPON EMAIL
- “When customers haven’t purchased anything in set amount of days, we'll help you get 'em back. The Rain system can automatically email these customers a coupon with your choice of a day-range and percent/dollar-off value, inviting them to take advantage of your limited time discount to get them coming back.”
- Configure the settings for it.
- BIRTHDAY COUPON EMAIL
- “Automatically email customers a birthday coupon each year to let them know you're thinking of them and appreciate their business, again with your choice of a percent or dollar-off value to encouraging them to treat themselves to a birthday purchase.”

Text Messaging
- Class Reminders
- “Increase your class attendance with automatic reminders. Rain Class Reminders will send your class registrants a text to remind them of their upcoming class so they don’t forget to come.”
- Let them know this is automatic and there’s nothing they’ll need to configure for it.

- Service Reminders
- “Wish there was an easy way to remind customers that it’s time to have the items they purchased from your store serviced? Rain's Notifications has you covered! Our system keeps track of your customers' purchases and automatically notifies them when it's time to bring their item in to be serviced, so they don't forget.”
- The way these work is the service reminders will start after the first time the machine is brought in for a repair/service not when it is first bought. It only does email only for now. Also the frequency of the reminders can be changed in Marketing settings. It's not locked at 6 months
Social Reviews
- GOOGLE Reviews
- “The best time to get a customer to leave you a Social review is when you're fresh on their mind. With our system, you can send your customers a text right after they complete a purchase, with a link that lets them quickly and easily leave a review about their positive experience in your store. Your customer is happy, you build trust with future customers, and increase your sales”.

- Email Blasts
- “No need to pay extra for a third party email marketing tool. With Rain, you can quickly add customers to your email list right at the register or website. When you're ready to send an email blast, simply create your message and send to your customers.”
- Demonstrate to them that you can email specific groups of people based on purchase history or a recurring newsletter list
Website Modules

SSL
- “The Marketing package includes an SSL. Google is increasingly making not having an SSL more and more difficult by posting pop-up’s, notices, and warnings to scare away customers. SSL’s are certificates that tell the browser that the entire site is secure. We always secure the cart since card information is entered, whoever Google is pushing for the whole website to be secure. Doing so will increase your SEO and website traffic.“

Marketing Dashboard
- Show them the Marketing Dashboard under ‘Reports’ and how it works.
Estimate Growth
- Have they seen the Marketing page on the Rain website?
- If Not: Take them to the page (https://www.rainpos.com/marketing.htm) and walk through the ‘ESTIMATE YOUR GROWTH’ section.
- If So: Ask them if they would like to see the growth estimator again and show them the page for future reference.
